Why we love Mind MGMT

It’s Mind MGMT time again! We played it a lot in the past weeks and you might have seen a post or two about it. It’s such a cleverly designed hidden movement game full of juicy deduction! Every game is an exciting puzzle to solve. 🥰

Playing as the Rogue Agents has you searching for the Recruiter while dealing with his immortals. Time is short, so it’s really stressful as you see turns go by, and at the beginning you don’t have the faintest idea where they might be hiding. But as turns go by you will know more and more and start to connect the dots.

If you are the Recruiter you aren’t just skillfully moving around trying to stay out of the grasp of the Rogue Agents, you are also controlling immortals - either to look for additional recruits to win the game sooner, or to block features which the Agents could ask about. You have to be careful with your movement, not to run into a dead end, though you have your mindslip ability to jump a bigger distance and throw your pursuers off their scent.

It’s always really tight at the end! The balance is really well done. And to make everything even more interesting, there is a feature we haven’t mentioned yet! 👉The Shift System!👈
Whoever loses a game gets to open a little tuckbox, that introduces some new mechanic - a tool that can give you the upper hand! It’s ingenious really - as you win with your newfound Shift package, your opponent will also unlock one, so the tables might turn again. And it also has a bit of that legacy game excitement of ‘what will I get next time’. 😊

We are enjoying the co-op mode of Mind MGMT even more than competitive, so we were happy to see that not only does it also use some Shift System packages, there are also a few digital-only features that you only see that way! Many cool additions and ways to give you the edge against your opponent - I’d like to tell you more, but I also don’t want to spoil anything. 😅 I guess it’s best if you see for yourself. 😉
