Who else loves plushies?

If you would ask us about a game that has brought us a magical memory - we immediately would say: Stuffed Fables! It is a game with an endearing theme of playing as stuffed animals protecting the dreams of a little girl against monsters. We really love plushies, had a lot of them growing up and we also have a bunch of them now too ☺️

This was also the very first game for which I made a foamcore insert - it looks quite wonky. 😅
And it was I believe the second game I have ever fully painted. I really enjoyed painting the minis and I recommend it as a perfect beginner project. 🎨👍

The unique thing about the game is that it uses a big spiral-bound storybook. 🧐 It not only contains the story-snippets and rules to the different scenarios, but also acts as the game board itself where you place tokens and minis. This saves a bunch of time on setup, as you don’t have to search for numbered tiles and lay them out.

Stuffed Fables is pretty light on rules, but has some interesting mechanics. You could play it with children but it is very much enjoyable as adults as well. 🙃 It uses a dice 🎲 bag mechanic - each turn dice are pulled from a bag which may increase threat level or can be used to do actions like moving, attacking, defending, searching or doing skill tests. You have special abilities you can activate and get item cards to use too. Enemies are driven by their AI card based on die rolls. Sometimes you will also draw random event cards as you encounter lost toys. The game has a fair bit of things going on 😉

The stories you read are really charming and the interactions of the stuffies are also cute and funny. 🥰
