What's hot right now?

❓ Have you heard any juicy gaming news lately? Let’s check some hot upcoming games again! This time not necessarily from the BGG hotness, but some news we have found intriguing! There is always so much cool stuff on the horizon!

The Last Spell
This title might not say anything to you, but it is a really great indie PC game that I enjoy playing. 😁 Basically you play in a post-apocalyptic fantasy world, where humanity is on its last legs. It’s a turn-based grid-based tactical rpg - each night you are defending against endless waves of undead monsters, trying to protect the mages in town who are channeling “The Last Spell” - a spell that will seal away all magic in the world, and thus stop the undead hordes. I am curious how they implement it as a board game, plus Nestore Mangone is listed as a designer! 😮

Kutná Hora: The City of Silver
The newest title coming from @czech_games_edition . It’s about building a medieval city and a gothic cathedral. I’ll be honest I would have preferred a more exciting theme, but a big box complex euro coming from CGE is definitely intriguing nonetheless. Asymmetric player guilds, player driven economy and an interesting action selection with double sided cards - we’ll have to see how it plays! 😊

🎪 3 Ring Circus
In this awesome looking euro from @devirgames you are playing as circus directors, hiring all kinds of artists and hosting shows in different cities to earn money and fame. Smaller towns have smaller rewards, but bigger towns will require specific performances. There also seems to be a focus on planning your show and the order of the performers. I want to see more of this game! 🙂

🦑 Revive: Call of the Abyss
Revive was one of the best euros of SPIEL22. Satisfying turns and many combos make it immensely enjoyable. Now there was an expansion announced, which sounds splendid! 🥳 New tiles for variety, plus 4 asymmetric tribes you can play as. Additionally, a completely new part to the game: the mysterious life form Scyphoz that lives in the lakes, introducing devotion, journeys and Scyphoz cards.
