What's hot right now?

Happy Easter! ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฅš Hope you have a gaming-filled holiday! โ˜บ๏ธ
There have been some movements on the BGG Hotness list again, so there are new titles to highlight. ๐Ÿ™ƒ Let's see!

๐Ÿš€ Evacuation
When I first saw this, I asked the usual question: "Why is this on the Hotness list?". But as soon as I clicked on it I saw "Delicious Games" and "Vladimir Suchy" and I was immediately on the hype train. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ In Evacuation you have to move inhabitants and your economy to a different planet, as the ever increasing sunlight is burning the old planet. You apparently start out with a complete engine and have to break it apart and transport parts of it to the new planet and cleverly manage your resources. The action selection sounds awesome too. Color me intrigued! ๐Ÿ˜

โš™๏ธ Age of Innovation
This is dubbed "A standalone game set in the world of Terra Mystica", and the cover image might also remind you of Terra Mystica. Reading the description sounds really similar to the basic game: transforming terrain types to place out your buildings, unlocking things on your board, and an emphasis on player interaction based on adjacency. Games will have unique combinations of Factions, Homeland and Abilities though. I'm curious how samey or different Age of Innovation will be in the end. Let's hope there are some fun twists! ๐Ÿ™‚

๐Ÿš‰ Terminus
An upcoming game from Earth-publisher Inside Up Games, about developing subway lines for a city. I wanted to watch some videos to decide whether we want to back this, but haven't had the time yet. It sounds intriguing nonetheless: route building and resource management with a player driven economy, and a rondel-type action selection. Rondel is one of the magic words that get me immediately interested in games. ๐Ÿ˜…

โ›ช Ierusalem: Anno Domini
After many recent successes, a new big box release from Devir is surely one to have on the radar. Ierusalem has a pretty unusual religious theme: you play as followers of Jesus of Nazareth, trying to position yourself cleverly so you sit closely to him and the Apostles at the Last Supper. There is worker placement with card-play and resource management. I'm excited to try this out. ๐Ÿ˜Š
