Tiny but epic

Tiny but epic

Tiny Epic Zombies 🧟 is a small box chock full of amazing gameplay content. Of course compared to big box games you might find the Tiny Epic series lacking, but I think they also shouldn't be compared. Due to their form factor they are perfect candidates to bring along for travel. Their fun-to-size ratio is quite formidable 😅

It's also brilliant how they managed to pack a lot of replayability into such a small box. You have a bunch of characters with unique abilities and also on their back are zombie characters with unique zombie abilities. There are also 9 different end-game objectives from which you will use 3 in a game. The map is made of modular cards that are double sided, so the layout is different every time as well.

The gameplay itself is a pandemic-style co-op, but there is a competitive mode in the game too, and the zombie could be AI- or player-controlled.

My personal favorite is the ITEMeeple system. If you get a weapon card, you can attach that weapon to your meeple with the help of pegs. It is fiddly, it doesn't add to the gameplay, but it's such a cool idea 😅
