Time for the March recap!
It has been a great month, with a couple of awesome games to highlight! 👍 We played 19 different games (and 13 of them were new to us) 😍
As day go longer now and we hopefully get more sunshine, our April should be even stronger!
Let’s see some games:
🐾 Root
This game was love at first play. We weren’t sure if it could live up to its hype, but it easily did, and now we want to own everything ever released for it. It’s such a blast, even at 2p! The asymmetric factions play so differently and the turn-to-turn decisions are so engaging! 🤩
👗 Rococo Deluxe Edition
This was on my wishlist for a long time, so I was hoping it wouldn’t disappoint. It turned out to be a great addition to our collection, and I hope we play it a bunch more times now. 😊 Deckbuilding to spice up action selection never seems to fail!
⛵ Lofoten
Our newest and shiniest 2p only game. It has a cool hand management mechanic tightly knit with a spatial aspect of moving your player board. Really fun, and we can only recommend it. 🥰
🌎 Earth
Our most recent Kickstarter arrival. A truly fun tableau building experience, with tons of combo chains and strategic decisions in how to build your 4x4 card grid. And it looks splendid to boot! 😍
⭐ Star Wars: The Deckbuilding Game
Another great new 2p game. We never had any of the usual deckbuilder duel games, so this was a great addition. With the Star Wars IP and some interesting twists, we immediately loved it. 🙃
🛕 Reviving Kathmandu
A really cool card drafting bidding game. Bidding does not always work with 2p, but here it does. Great in fact! This game will only release later but I can see a bright future for it. 😉
🎌 Let’s Go! To Japan
Also an upcoming card drafting game. Simple ruleset but delicious decisions every turn, and delightful aesthetics. This should also be a big star in the gateway category when it is released. 💪
🌋 Tikal
Possibly the oldest game in our collection (though we do have the new edition), but it clearly shows that classics are classics for a reason. Immensely fun every time we play!
