The Tribunal is a must-have!

We already established how brilliant of a game ⚖️ Veiled Fate is. It is a strategic deduction game, a playground of Gods you could say, as you are controlling shared figures on a map, sending them on quests, trying to get your Demigod to be the most renowned. But if you do it without finesse, other Gods can realize what you are doing and counteract your efforts.
The expansion Tribunal makes all of this even better. A lot better in fact! 😊 It introduces 3 modules to the game.
1️⃣ Hadria 🎃 is our favorite - and I have to say a “must-have” module. This is an additional neutral character that follows other Demigods around. The most important thing to know about Hadria is that they eliminate any Demigods at the end who have more Renown than them! So you can’t just spam Renown points for your own Demi, trying to sprint for a win, instead you have to rein it in and act more strategically. It also adds more possibilities to hinder your opponents, by pushing them over Hadria’s renown. It raises the stakes and the tension deliciously higher! 😁
Hadria also introduces power cards that let you cast God powers for free, which you otherwise might not do that often. Whoever gets the most corruption from these powers also loses another point of Renown, which could swing the game in two ways!
2️⃣ The second module adds three Servants. These are neutral “beasts” that can modify quest outcomes. One gives +2 feathers 🦉, one +2 scorpion tails 🦂, and one doubles all of the rewards 🐉. This is a cool way to influence the game’s flow in big ways.
3️⃣ Finally, there are the Celestials 🧙🏻♀️, which are special asymmetrical characters. Regardless of player count, only one player can be a Celestial. Suffice to say, they can have wildly different playstyles and goals, which adds a big twist on the whole deduction gameplay of Veiled Fate.
Don’t get me wrong, I liked the base game experience a lot, but these additions bring it to the next level. We played the game with both 2 and 4 players so far and it works amazingly. Yes, even only with 2, since all demis are on the board anyway! I can only recommend adding this expansion to boost the experience, especially Hadria. 😍
