The new GWT is here!

It has been some time since we played the original Great Western Trail. I can’t say why, as it is one of the best Pfister games out there. It is what it is… And now, Argentina has arrived!🤩 Even though I was somewhat familiar with the original rules, it took a while to digest all the new stuff that was added.😅

When I first heard that it offers fairly similar gameplay to “normal” GWT, I wasn’t sure what to think. Publishing very similar ideas of the same designer with some twists is nothing new in the board game industry (for example just think of Cottage Garden, Indian Summer and Spring Meadow.. but I am sure there are many other examples)

💭 So I am sure you all have the same question as me: Is Argentina better and if so, in what regards? Is it different enough to warrant owning both (and I am just ignoring the fact that this is only the second game in the trilogy, with New Zealand coming soon as well)?

💬 Also do you like re-releases of beloved games, or twists and variations of them, or would you prefer exploring completely new designs❓️🧐
