The baron, the Witch & the Thief

We love escape games in all forms and sizes. 😍 Lately some escape games with 🧩 jigsaw puzzle elements appeared on the market as well. In these you don't just solve logical puzzles but have to assemble physical jigsaw puzzles too.

The Witch the Baron and the Thief is such a puzzle spin-off of the “Escape Room - The Game” family from Noris Spiele.
After having played all of the original Escape Room Games, I have to say, this is something different and would only recommend it with caution.⚠️ I think the logical puzzles themselves were not difficult to solve at all, but the puzzles are somewhat hard to assemble. To spice things up (for 🧩 puzzle fans at least), the pictures you build are not just rectangular - they can have some strange tricky shapes.🤯

Other than having pictures to look at, the puzzles don't actually do anything more, they could just as well be printed pictures instead.👐 In this regard we like the Exit: The Game Puzzle games better - they have some extra surprises and innovative uses for the puzzle pieces.

👉 I would recommend this to beginner escape gamers for a 1-2 hour fun session, IF you like jigsaw puzzles too. If that’s not your cup of tea, be prepared to get bored, as the most playing time goes into assembling the puzzles.
