Spielwiesn - Sunday

Spielwiesn - Sunday

We spent most of Sunday at the Spielwiesn convention again.🥰 We actually wanted to go on Saturday, but we had to change plans. We didn’t get online tickets for Saturday, because on Friday it seemed like the line was actually quicker without one - well that was a mistake. 😂 The line was really long and they basically stopped letting people in, so we just went home instead. Sunday went a lot better though.

We played some rented games again. 😁 Even though you have the disadvantage of having to learn the rules yourself, I like that you can just experience and finish games that interest you (instead of just playing some demos). And of course you have access to older titles as well not just new releases. Here are the games we played today:

🕌 Red Cathedral is a very well liked game. It was time for us try it too. And it was indeed quite amazing, but we have a soft spot for rondel games. You collect resources to build parts of the cathedral, but the resource collecting itself is really really interesting.

🥧 Creature Comforts is one I was interested in for some time. It’s about collecting stuff throughout spring, summer and fall so you can comfortably spend your winter in your burrow, using worker placement and dice rolling. It has really cute art and meeples.

📽️ Roll Camera is a co-operative game about shooting a movie together using dice allocation. It has a really fun atmosphere with really silly illustrations and jokes. We had fun with this one too.

We did open up 🧙 Merlin at the end of the day, but decided we might be biting off more than we can chew. We would have had no chance of finishing before the closing time it so decided to give it back. 😅

Stay tuned for some in depths posts about these games! 😁
