Spiel 2024 preview 3
This week is Spiel time!! Finally! We can barely contain our excitement, so we had to come up with another list of new games that we were lucky to play in the last few weeks. This time let’s take a look at some of the upcoming lightweight titles! We enjoyed these a lot so we can very much recommend them. 😊
🌲 Canopy Evergreen - Weird City Games at Booth 2E111
In this mesmerizingly beautiful game you create your own forest ecosystem with trees, plants and animals. These are all cards that you draft with a really clever push-your-luck system. The game has many different cool set-collection elements, is easy to teach and plays quickly! Read more about it here.
🕋 Concilium Urbis - Perro Loko Games at Booth 3X112
A very interesting combination of drafting, I-split-you-choose, tile-laying, and voting. Players build up their cities round by round, while passed laws will affect the way you score your city at the end of the game. It was a ton of fun even at 2p, but if you have more people, you’ll have a blast! Read more about it here.

📯 Open Season - Sit down! Games at Booth 2E120
An incredible fast-playing card drafting game. Cards on your player board will determine how your stack of cards scores, while you can also trigger bonus actions and activate bonuses with clever plays. Super unique, thinky and fun! Read more about it here.
🐾 Spectacular - Chilifox Games at Booth 3F111
Players build animal parks by drafting dice and tiles, and cunningly placing them to follow the numerous scoring aspects as best as possible. Which of course is difficult as there is so much to watch out for! You have to make the best of what you can get! Read more about it here.
