Spiel 2024 preview 2
Let’s look at some more games in preparation for Spiel'24 ! The lists of everyone are surely already oversized, but we are here to give you more inspiration. 😅
This time a batch of 4 logical deduction games, a genre we are super fond of. 🤩
🎭 Kronologic: Paris 1920 - Super Meeple at Booth 2C110
This was already available at UKGE and GenCon this year, but nevertheless a new release! As it’s coming from the designers of Turing Machine you know you are in good hands - but this time the game is also dripping with theme. You investigate cases that have happened in the Paris Opera house by using perforated tiles and cards to get answers to your questions. Read more about it here.
🕵️ Intent to Kill - Hobbyworld at Booth 4D211
This is a thrilling 1v1 face-off between a detective and a murderer. The detective will go around the city interviewing civilians to find out details about the suspect, while the culprit tries to confuse the detective by choosing prey so their motive cannot be deduced easily. An awesome idea with an amazing presentation. Read more about it here.
⚗️ Little Alchemists - CGE at Booth 3Z411 / 6A101
This is the family friendly version of Alchemists, without the worker-placement elements of it. What remains is a pure logical deduction puzzle that you know from the original, as you can mix ingredients to see what kind of potions they make, and thus try to create theses. It begins as a super simple kid-friendly game, but with many additional unlocked modules the complexity rises a lot. Read more about it here.
💎 Orapa Mine - Playte Games at Booth 5H410
A small box game of spatial deduction. The goal is to find out where tangram shapes are hidden on the 10x8 grid. To find out, you can shoot in rays from a side, then the other player tells you where the ray leaves and what color it is (with each tangram hit the ray could bounce 90 or 180 degrees, and the ray takes the color of the piece too). Piece by piece you can deduce the location of each shape! Read more about it here.
