Spiel 22 Preview VI.

We are taking a very short break from our mission on the ISS Vanguard just because Essen SPIEL is now really right around the corner, and we have so much more games we are hyped for! 😍🥳
Let’s continue our preview series with some other interesting titles!

🛸 Federation

This is a very colorful sci-fi themed worker placement game. You have double-sided workers that you place on a senate grid where (depending on the side used) you either get votes or fund projects; votes in the left-wing or right-wing will decide what law gets passed, but there are also majority scorings for the rows. The worker spots let you do actions with 5 different factions, which all do different things. There is quite a lot going on and it all looks awesome. 🤩

💍 War of the Ring: Card Game

We pre-ordered this immediately. We are fans of the main version of War of the Ring so we were excited about this one. I read the rulebook already but I think most of the meaningful interaction of the game will be from the cards, so I can only judge the game after we have played a few times and seen all the cards. But it looks like it will be great fun. 🙂

📜 Tiletum

The newest T-Game from Board&Dice, so this should be quite popular. We tried it during GenCon and I think it is brilliant. You draft dice that give you actions and resources at the same time - similar to Tekhenu. There is a lot of tactical movement on the board, optimization of things on your player board and tons of bonus action from bonus tiles - it all feels amazing to play. 😁I just wish they stayed with the usual mesoamerican theme though. 😅

🌌 Astra

The newest game from Mindclash! Though this is from their new spinoff brand Mindclash Play which means it is a lot lighter than their usual lineup, it looks amazing nonetheless!
You spend stardust to mark stars with your dry erase marker and collect constellation cards that also give you ongoing abilities 🧐 - All in an effort to get the most points by the end.
