Spiel 22 Preview V.

Another issue of our Spiel hype series ! 🥳 This time it’s about expansions - we love expansions in all shapes and sizes, be it ‘more of the same’ or ‘new mechanics’ or ‘basically a full new game but also an expansion’ 😅

🏯 Origins: Ancient Wonders

Origins was one of my favorite games of 2021 - a dice worker placement euro with a lot of cleverly implemented ideas. So this has been on my watchlist for quite some time. It only adds two modules - a new type of wonder buildings and end-of-round objectives - but it should be a great addition nonetheless.

🛖 Tawantinsuyu: Golden Age

Tawantinsuyu is without a doubt an amazing euro, so this expansion is instantly a must-have for it. It is a modular-type expansion, so you get 4 modules that you can add or remove from games as you like.

🌊 Meadow: Downstream

We really loved Meadow so this is any easy buy. You get more cards and a new river board where you go kayaking for additional points. Should be a great addition to the game.

♻️ The LOOP: Fur Brigade

The LOOP is an insanely fun co-op game that uses a rondel game board, a cube-tower and card based action selection with deck-building - that’s a lot of stuff we love combined in a well functioning package. So buying this expansion is really a no-brainer.
