Outlive your peers to win

Today's game is Outlive. In this game you lead a group of survivors in a post-apocalyptic world, gathering food and resources and building your shelter, trying to fend off dangers, get even more people to join you and survive.

This is basically a rondel-game. The possible action spots are all laid out in a circle. The biggest fun (or frustration, depending on what you like 😅 ) comes from the puzzle of placing/moving your workers. You have four workers which you can move 1 or 2 spaces in either direction, but you cannot land on a space with your worker already on it (also can't land back where you started). This means often you will have to move other workers away first to be able to reach something you need.
Good planning is key here.

You also have to watch out for the power of your workers. You can get attacked by other workers of a higher value, then you have to pay some of your resources to that player. I don't really like negative player interaction, but this is maybe not too bad. 🤔

During the game you can construct new rooms for your shelter and build items that help you along the way. You are trying to gather as many survivors as possible and also get enough food each round to be able to feed the increasing numbers.
