🥕 Point Salad is a fast playing card game of set collection. The unique twist of the game is that there are no fixed rules for how you score your collection ‼️ - instead you will make your own rules as you pick up point cards! 😮 Every card in the game has a side that shows a vegetable (out of 6 possible types), and another side that shows a scoring condition.

⚙️ The structure of the game is quite simple. After setting up the deck depending on player count, you set out 3 facedown decks, then you place 2 faceup cards from each as vegetable cards. This way there are 3 columns, each with a point card and two veggies.

⚙️ On your turn you can either take 2 vegetable 🥬 cards or 1 point 🎖️ card. Taken veggies are immediately replenished. You do this in clockwise turns until all of the cards are taken, then you see who scored the most points. 🏆 If some of your point cards turn out to be less beneficial for you, you can flip them as a free action to their vegetable side (this doesn’t work the other way around though).

There is also possibility for some tactical gameplay: taken vegetable cards are replenished from the top of that column’s deck, so if you see a point card that would be too good for your opponent, you can intentionally take vegetables of that column so it disappears. 😈

Point Salad is really quick, especially with 2p, so you can play mini best-of-3 or best-of-5 tournaments. 🙃
We accidentally put in too many cards in our first 2p game so we got huge combos and insane amounts of points. 😅 I guess it is a fun possible variant to play too.

💬 The simple and fast nature of the game makes it perfect for introducing non-gamers into the hobby, and the small box makes it an ideal travel game! For seasoned players it might be too simple, but it works nice as filler game for game nights with friends.
