Incan detectives

We were eagerly awaiting the release of Kronologic: Cuzco 1450 as we are fans of Kronologic: Paris 1920 too (and logical deduction games in general). If you know that one, you will know this one too, as it's pretty similar. But Cuzco still brings new puzzles, new layouts and requires a new way of thinking.
If you don't know the system: There are 6 characters, 6 locations, and 6 times (how the events play out in order). You will have to deduce the location and movement of these people during the different times. 🕵️♂️ There are 3 cases with 5 variations in each, but I think the game is pretty replayable in spite of this, as you'll most likely forget the solutions. Cases will tell you the basic premise and rules - like how the characters move and what you need to find out.
Many logical deduction games rely on apps, but the Kronologic system is fully analog! 👍 You simply place a card behind a tile and see clues revealed through punched-out holes. Every turn, you get one piece of shared information to read aloud and one private clue just for you. Even when it’s not your turn, you’re still getting vital intel. 😉
There are 2 main things you can ask:
📝 How many times was Character X at a certain location? (The private info gives you a specific time point too).
📝 How many people were at a location at a certain time? (The private info also shows a specific person who was there).
The biggest change from Kronologic: Paris is the map. 👉Instead of the Opera house layout you get 6 locations that are connected by roads. Setup tells you which roads are closed or one-way, drastically changing how characters can move.
💬 Whether you need to own multiple versions of Kronologic is up to you, but we are happy to collect them. I believe Cuzco is supposed to be a step up in complexity for the puzzles. If you haven't played Kronologic, your main takeaway should be that it is a superb system, where you don't just eliminate possibilities, but have to deduce things with the information you get, making you feel like a detective. Solving the puzzles is satisfying. Very satisfying indeed! 😊
