Hiding from a cold-blooded killer

Hiding from a cold-blooded killer

If you are like us and love slasher horrors or haunted houses, then you should take a closer look at the upcoming one-vs-many game 🗡️Terrorscape! A group of travelers seek refuge from a heavy storm in an abandoned mansion. As they enter the door closes behind their backs, and they realize that a killer is in the house trying to murder them! 🙀

Up to 3 players play as the Survivors, and a single player is the Killer. Survivors have to search the house for keys 🔑 while avoiding the killer to be able to escape the house, or alternatively repair the radio 📻 and call for help. The Killer’s task is quite simple: find and kill the Survivors! 💀

The most striking feature of the game is the cardboard mansion that acts as a screen, separating and hiding the playing area of the Killer and Survivors - plus it also acts as a dice tower and holder for some important information! It’s really cool, and it was the thing that immediately drew us in when we first saw the game at SPIEL22.

Games start out a bit slow as the Killer starts searching for people, but it quickly escalates as noise is made in the house. It is a hidden movement game, as only the survivors see the killer, and the killer has to use abilities to deduce where people are. As the Killer goes through his deck of cards he also levels up and gets access to new abilities, so the chances of the Survivors diminish with time. This gives a natural timer to games - if only a single Survivor dies, the game is over! ☠️

Currently there are 3 different killers to choose from:
🪓the Butcher: sluggish but brutally strong
🗡️the Murderer: stealthy and lethal
👻the Spectre: fast and terrifying

You can also choose from multiple Survivors and they all have diverse useful abilities. There are probably even more planned for the final release - characters, maps and mechanics!

We really love the theme of the game and it comes alive with the artwork and high quality components. We are curious about what the campaign will offer! There is great potential for variability in this game, which is great!
