Games on the radar - UKGE edition

We had a long weekend full of excursions and hikes with the family, so we haven’t had time to play games. In the meantime our excitement for the UK Games Expo kept growing however! 😅 So we want to share our excitement with you by showcasing some upcoming expansions. 😁

🌸 Iki Akebono
Iki is a super fun euro with a rondel (which even got nominated for Kennerspiel des Jahres now, even though it’s from 2015 originally). Akebono will add new artisans, buildings and wares, but also a new 9th space on the rondel where you can do the new actions: building boats, trading on the river and meeting famous people. This is definitely one we want to take home with us. ☺️

💍 War of the Ring The Card Game - Against the Shadow
We had a blast playing the WotR Card Game recently. It recaptures the epicness of the original War of the Ring in card format, but it’s somewhat faster. Now the expansion is bringing a new Shadow deck which enables solo or co-op play - as the Free People fighting against the Shadow. We are fans of co-op and love this game already, so this is a must! 😉

🧭 Lost Ruins of Arnak - The Missing Expedition
Arnak is one of the most beautiful games on the market in my opinion, and I immensely enjoy playing every time! The last expansion was brilliant too, now this new one is bringing 2 more asymmetric leaders, new research tracks, cards and tiles. Additionally there is a 6-part campaign that can be played in solo or co-op, each part with different rules and goals! 🙃

🛩️ Undaunted Battle of Britain
This is a standalone game as all Undaunted games are, but I thought I’d include it here too. This time you take to the skies and fight over Britain - either as the German Luftwaffe or the British Royal Air Force. It uses the usual card play formula to simulate thrilling aerial combat, as you dodge artillery fire and shoot down enemy aircraft in a fight for air supremacy. 💪
