Games on the radar - UKGE edition

Do you have any secret tips for upcoming games? The UK Games Expo is next week!! And there are so many interesting games on the horizon, we can barely contain our excitement! So here are a few more highlights! ๐Ÿ˜

๐Ÿ‘‘ The Old Kingโ€™s Crown
The aesthetics of this game is what caught our attention at first. It's not just nice but breathtakingly beautiful. ๐Ÿ˜ However the gameplay sounds intriguing too! You send out your heralds to locations to try and control them, and secretly play cards to regions to gain influence, all in an effort to lay claim to the vacant throne of the kingdom. Can't wait to get to know more details about this! ๐Ÿ˜Š

๐Ÿฆ After Us
After humanity has gone extinct, apes have kept evolving. You control a tribe of apes, attracting new members and collecting knowledge. It's a deck-building game with resource management and a cool combo system, as you can connect symbols of adjacent cards. Oh, and Vincent Dutrait art! ๐Ÿคฉ

๐Ÿ™๏ธ Barcelona
We hope to get a peek of this newest big box release from Board&Dice. You play as builders of 19th century Barcelona. The old walls are destroyed and you are expanding the city, constructing streets, buildings, tram lines and public services to accommodate citizens. I just realized the rulebook is available already! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

๐Ÿ„ Mycelia
Mushroom games are definitely on a roll lately and this one looks splendid too! It's a highly tactical game played on a map made out of triangles. Each turn you do 2 out of 6 possible actions to spread spores, bring in new mushrooms or have them decay and give you permanent abilities for the rest of the game. So many cool ideas here! ๐Ÿ™ƒ
