Games on the radar
It has been a while since we have done one of these posts, even though in the meantime our list of interesting upcoming games has been growing! It’s always so much fun adding games to the list in anticipation of the coming convention season. ☺️ Here are some of our most anticipated game! 😉
🐈 Kyoto No Neko
Of course this game got on our list fast - it’s about cats! 😸 First only a cover picture was released, which already won us over, then recently some gameplay details followed too.
Players play as stray cats, wandering around the streets of Kyoto, interacting with animals and humans alike, improving their skills and completing scenario specific objectives.
🎩 Madcala
We haven’t played Wonderlands War yet, but have heard a lot of positive things. So when I saw a new Wonderlands-spinoff game was coming which uses the Mancala mechanic and is designed specifically for 2 players, I was instantly convinced! It’s also asymmetric and sounds very replayable which adds to my excitement. 🙃
🏞️ Spectacular
The spectacular cover art of this game got my attention first, and as Chilifox recently released the amazing Footprints, I am curiously waiting to try this game. 😍 This will be a game of tile and dice drafting as you assemble a wildlife park of vulnerable species. From the description I love the sound of the scoring and placement rules, so it is shaping up to be a great gateway experience.
🌀 Dark Romance
I love it when games have an intriguing elevator-pitch such as this: Dark Romance is a 2-player only social deduction game. Bet you haven’t seen that before! 😅 You play a character out of 9 in an alternate Victorian world, and court others trying to deduce their true intentions. Not sure how this will work exactly, but I have to see it for myself. 😁
