Cuteness overload

What is cuter than a capybara? Probably a herd of capybaras! π
And π Capybara Crush has plenty of them, along with other adorable animals (and fruits π ). In this small box card game of drafting and pattern-matching, you play as capybaras who are rescuing critters and helping them cross the river. Just look at how adorable they all are. π₯Ί
Gameplay is fast and easy: π On your turn you place a card in front of you, then draw a new card from the display. The card faces all show a background and three critters balancing on top of a capyβs head, while the back shows a capybara. When placing a card, you either play one face up on top of a face-down card already placed or play one face down as a new βslotβ in your tableau.
Itβs all about pattern matching. You want to arrange cards so critters of the same type are in big contiguous groups. To be considered a group, adjacent animals of the same type have to be in the same row or just one above/below. As there are chicks π£, goats π, turtles π’, monkeys π and wuzu fruit π, itβs hard to pay attention and match everything perfectly. Oh and there are the aforementioned backgrounds too, forest π², beach π΄ and sakura πΈ blossom, which you also want to put in big groups. You probably guessed it, but you will score only your biggest group of each of these aspects, plus you also have a favorite type you want to collect for extra points.
To switch things up a bit, there are some special abilities you can use. β These could affect drawing, or let you adjust and move things around in your tableau. You can choose 3 from multiple abilities for each game. Abilities cost stars to use, though you get back stars every time you play a card facedown to your tableau. Stars also give extra points if left unused.
So there you have it! Fast and fun, and insanely cute.π If you enjoy pattern matching and are looking for a small filler game in between or one that you can play with the whole family, Capybara Crush is definitely worth checking out! π
