Cute games on the radar

It’s time! ⌚

With the convention season ramping up, it is high time to start talking about upcoming games and getting excited about them, don’t you think? 😁

For the first batch, we picked out some cutesy-cozy games, 🥰 which we hope to demo soon somewhere!

👑 Kingdom Crossing

Sorry We Are French had some spectacular games lately like Zhanguo and Shackleton Base, so anything new from them is immediately on our radar!

There isn’t much information yet, but Kingdom Crossing looks to be a bit lighter than those games. Still, there should be fun to be had thanks to engine building and action programming. 😊

❄️ Everdell Silverfrost

Everdell is still one of our favorite games, and even though Farshore and Duo didn’t quite hit the mark for us, we still can’t help but be excited for a new Everdell release.

Similar to Farshore, Silverfrost will be a standalone title, but now set in another region of the Everdell universe: the snow-capped mountains of Silverfrost! 🏔️

Gameplay sounds to be very familiar, but there are all-new cards and added twists such as Fire 🔥 as a resource against the snow.

🌳 Wispwood

This was just announced this week, and with CGE’s track record we were immediately intrigued! Wispwood is a polyomino tile-laying game, and while there are spades of those out there, this one aims to set itself apart with multiple fun layers, like drafting separate tiles that make up the polyomino shapes you place on your board, or how Wisp tiles you place remain on your board but Tree tiles disappear at the end of the round! 😮

🔨 Timber Town

This is a 2p tile-laying duel game, which is dubbed as a “river drafting game”. Players are beavers, who are drafting building tiles from a shared river area to build their cities. Tiles go downstream each turn, and whatever you pick has to go in the same column on your board as where you took it from. To add a layer of challenge to your town building endeavours, there are a bunch of scoring cards you try to fulfill as best as possible.

Timber Town should also be available at the UKGE already! 🥳
