Berlin Con Recap 2
Let's do one more of these! 😁 Some of our thoughts on 4 more games after playing them at Berlin Brettspiel Con!
🕵♂️ Perspectives
A splendid detective game! The main gimmick is that in each case cards are dealt out to players and they cannot show them. So it’s all about discussing what information you have and what you see, and asking questions to clarify things and trying to connect seemingly meaningless details. Great fun!
🏰 5 Towers
This is a super fun little card game. Each turn 5 tower pieces are drawn and you have to bid on how much you want to buid. Whoever bids more takes them - however mindlessly taking too many is unwise, as you can only build in descending numerical order, and skipping many numbers will hurt you in the long run. Simple but great, and with funny art.
🧀 Cheese Master
This is a surprisingly fun family or party game. You roll dice, then you have to play a card matching the amount of cheeses rolled, then you take a wooden cheese. Quickly because it's like musical chairs - there is always one less cheese to take than players. You have to quickly account for mice, cats, dogs and people rolled, which modify the final amount in fun ways.
🍄🟫 Mycelia
This is a nice family weight game. You use cards and deck-building to move dew drops on your player board with the goal of getting rid of them all. It's a nice concept and the art is very cute, but for experts I don’t think Mycelia has a lot to offer, as it gets a bit samey after a few rounds.
