Behold our Loot!

We have safely arrived back at home from Spiel'24 with all our new games intact! 🥳
I’ve got to say, doing the 700 km road trip 🚗 is much more fun when you know you are going to Spiel, rather than driving home and knowing you have to work the next day. 🥲

But it is awesome to see and hold all the new games and to take stock of what we got. As usual there were some planned purchases and pre-orders, but also many impulse buys (either due to discounts or Reni falling into some kind of bundle-bait 😄) - and some of these were kindly provided to us by our partner publishers.

Aside from the more obvious Essen novelties, we finally bought the Terraforming Mars Big Box to hold our favorite game, as it went for a good(-ish) price. We also got Marrakesh which I’ve been excited about for a while. Dexterity games are under-represented in our collection, but now we added Cat and the Tower, Tokyo Highway and Beaver Creek! And we just had to get the official game of the convention, Loot, even though we are prepared it might not be very good.

There are some amazing titles that you don’t see in our haul as we were lucky enough to receive them before the convention, so they are not “officially” part of the haul. Otherwise I would have definitely added at least Shackleton Base, Saltfjord and Phoenix New Horizon to name a few. 🤭

Yesterday we started a frantic punching and unboxing session, which we only had to stop because we were starting to fall asleep due to exhaustion. 😅 We can’t wait to dig into all these new games and write about them extensively! Be it big box euros or small box duel games.
Safe to say, we will be busy in the coming months! 🥰
