To quickly summarize, you use your hand of cards (that you cannot re-arrange) to load order cards into your player board, or move and rotate your board across a central market to load matching goods tiles onto your longships containing order cards!

The core of the game is already quite strong, but there are 3 additional modules you can add to games to spice them up further - We want to highlight these now. ☺️

🏬 Advanced Warehouse Cards: I think this is a must-include. The normal warehouse cards (where you and your opponent are offloading certain types of goods in a majority battle) are quite simple, giving you a fixed amount of points if you had majority. While the majority is still in the center, the advanced cards have much more creative and fun ways of scoring, to keep games different. 👍

⛵ Upgradable Longships: With this you can flip the little ship tiles on your player board to upgrade them, so each of your card slots can get special abilities. To upgrade you basically have to sacrifice a goods tile though, so it’s a fun trade-off, giving a new layer to the game.

📜 Alliance with other Jarls: When using this module, you randomly draw 2 Jarls cards and 2 requirement cards for each. If you meet the condition of a Jarl you can take its card for its bonus ability - a player can only ally themselves with one Jarl, so you have to think over which one you go for.

Some Jarl abilities aren’t particularly useful, and some requirements are really hard to achieve, so the last module isn’t that great. The others are awesome though, and should be always used in my opinion. 🥰 And of course we can only recommend Lofoten! A true gem from Pearl Games.
