About Expedition Leaders

We tried Expedition Leaders, the expansion to Lost Ruins of Arnak. After our first go at it we are quite pleased. The expansion adds a lot of the same things to avoid repetition, but also six asymmetrical leaders and a board with two new temple tracks. It all blends very well and improves the gameplay even further – you could even call it a must-have expansion perhaps. 🤔

I think Arnak truly lives up to the hype it has. The resource management makes it very thinky and it’s also quite tight because you only have two workers. There is always a limited amount of actions you can do in a round, but a ton of things you want to do. The deck-building and the large amount of different cards you can buy for yourself also keeps every game different, especially if you add the different temples and assistants to the equation. And the fact that everything looks beautiful and the components are high quality really puts the cherry on top. 🍒

This game is a joy to look at and to play. 😍
