About Easter Weekend

โ What have you been up to this last weekend?
You know what is better than a weekend? A 4-day weekend of course. ๐ Thanks, national holidays! ๐
We finally managed to sit down and have some quality painting ๐๏ธ time! After finding out that ๐น Black Rose Wars: Rebirth is indeed an awesome game, now it is time to breathe some life into all those grey miniatures. And thatโs not all: we also want to do a really cool (and perhaps a tad complex) insert system for it to properly store all that expansion content. Letโs hope we pull through with it and can show you the final result. ๐ค
We also played a bunch of games, and weirdly enough, we got on an Uwe Rosenberg binge. ๐ It all started with playing ๐ณ Black Forest at LeiriaCon. We thought โwhy not, it is a new game to tryโ, and I was wholly prepared to not like it - it turned out that it was actually really great, so we wanted to rent it again at the Con but it was not in. So we went for ๐พ Agricola for the first time ever. ๐ฎ Itโs definitely felt old, and very tight and stingy, but fun nonetheless.

Black Forest & Agricola
Actually we really wanted to play Black Forest again so we ended up ordering it, but as it didnโt arrive this weekend, we reached for โ๏ธ Caverna! A game we had for years now but have never played. After priming ourselves with Agricola, we were interested in seeing a direct comparison. And what can I say, it blows Agricola right out of the water. ๐คญ

So the logical next step was to grab ๐๏ธ Le Havre, another Uwe game from our pile of opportunity, going deeper and deeper down this economic-agricultural rabbit hole. And now after just finishing our 160 minute game itโs time to go deeper. We might be traveling to Nusfjord as the next step, to build our tranquil Norwegian villages. Time to head over there now and do some fishing. ๐
